Health and Dietary Supplement Association of the Philippines (HADSAP), a non-profit, non-stock trade and professional association comprising of companies from the health and dietary supplement industry, was formed January 2007 and was duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on March 22, 2007.

Spearheading the Association its 12 founding company Amway Philippines, Capsugel, Gano Excel Philippines, Inc., GNLD International, GNC, Health Express, Inc. Pascual Laboratories), Herbs & Nature Corporation, Nikken Philippines, Inc., Nu Skin Enterprises Philippines, Inc, Splash Corporation, Symmetry Philippines, Inc., and Unicity Network Philippines, Inc. HADSAP is an active member of the ASEAN Alliance of Health Supplement Associations (AAHSA), the federation of health supplement associations in the ASEAN region. It is also a proud member of the International Alliance of Dietary Supplements Association (IADSA), the global federation of health supplements association.

HADSAP’s vision is “to be the driving and unifying force in the development of the health supplement industry in the Philippines”. is aimed at achieving the following:

  • Promote the growth, protection and welfare of its member companies and consumers.
  • Educate the general public on the benefits of health supplementation.
  • Work with government authorities to ensure compliance existing laws and regulations on health supplementation.
  • Link with global organizations in the advocacy of health supplementation.

True to its objectives, HADSAP actively coordinates with the Philippine Food and Drug Administration (FDA) primarily on the ASEAN harmonization of health and dietary supplement regulations and participates in the ASEAN meetings around the region. The Association has also established linkages with
government agencies such as the Department of Trade and Industry, Board of Investments and the Food and Nutrition Research Institute of the Department of Science and Technology.

All member-companies of HADSAP adhere to the provisions of the Association’s Code of Ethics.
